Anna Calvi’s gig at Amsterdam’s Paradiso was the final one I did before embarking on my adventure with Efterklang. Felt I really needed a few warm up (with all due respect) gigs before that, as I’ve been off the scene for 6 months because of the accident and the resulting brain contusion last year. After listening to and reviewing her debut album for File Under (OK, it’s in Dutch, but might translate it into English for you in the follow up post) and enjoying that very much, her live performance turned out to be even better.
