I’m glad to finally get the photographic juices flowing again this year… Feels good! And it also felt good to be back at my local venue, Luxor Live… This time for a double headline show of the Belgian band Intergalactic Lovers and Dutch act Alamo Racetrack…
And even if almost the entire show of Intergalactic Lovers was plagued by technical problems, their eclectic mix of edgy pop and alternative rock together with the charm and humor of frontwoman Lara Chedraoui, shone right through. Cool to see these youngsters perform again after having first seen them back in May of last year at the Walk the Line festival.
The second headliner was Alamo Racetrack, veterans compared to the previous band, but that didn’t stop them from giving a show in which many of their well known songs had been given some fresh arrangements… Though they had to dig deep for the lyrics of some old ones requested by the audience as encores, hehe…
